How do I know if a message or contact claiming to be Salmon is legitimate?

For any transactions, inquiries, and other reminders, remember that Salmon customer service will contact you primarily via in-app chat

If you receive messages or inquiries from outside the Salmon app, it’s important to check whether the contact is legitimate. Some individuals may pretend to be representatives of Salmon or Salmon sales ambassadors using personal accounts, unfamiliar numbers, or unofficial pages.

Here’s how to confirm whether the contact messaging you is legitimate or not.

Always check with Customer Service via in-app chat

If you are unsure about any message, contact request, or instruction you receive, the safest and fastest way to confirm is by reaching out to Customer Service via in-app chat. Our team can verify whether the message came from Salmon and guide you on what to do next.

You may also reach out through our official channels listed below, but please keep in mind that our in-app chat is the primary and most secure point of communication.

Our official social media accounts and websites

All official Salmon social media accounts use the following handles:

  • Facebook: @salmonphilippines

  • Facebook Communities: Salmon PH Community

  • Sales Ambassador and Customer Service recruitment Facebook page: @SalmonCareers

  • Instagram: @salmon_philippines

  • TikTok: @salmonphilippines

  • LinkedIn: @salmonphilippines

Our official websites only include the following domains:

If a page, message, or link does not match one of these, it is not from Salmon.

Salmon will never ask you to click links outside our official websites.

People pretending to be Salmon or Salmon representatives may:

  • Use personal profiles (not pages) or make use of duplicate pages. They may also have the Salmon logo or have Salmon in their name, yet have a suspiciously low number of followers.

  • Introduce themselves as Salmon sales ambassadors but cannot provide official proof. To check, always verify with Customer Service via in-app chat to confirm if the sales ambassador you are talking to is legitimate.

  • Ask you to send payments to these accounts

  • Offer to “guarantee” or “speed up” loan processing

  • Contact you from a mobile number (we will mainly communicate with you via in-app chat, or if you prefer, message you through our official social media channels)

  • Ask you to click on suspicious links

  • Request sensitive information such as a one-time code or login credentials

If a message feels unusual, you should stop replying and contact Customer Service via in-app chat to report this incident instead.

What to do if you receive a suspicious message

If something does not look or feel right:

  • Do not reply

  • Do not click links

  • Do not share personal information

  • Do not send money

  • Take a screenshot of the message

  • Report the fake page on the platform, if applicable

If you have already replied or shared information

If you sent details or engaged with a contact you think is suspicious, message Customer Service via in-app chat immediately. Share with us the full details on what happened so we can help you secure your account and guide you on the next steps.
