How do I make auto-debit payments for my Salmon account?

Auto-debit lets you pay for your Salmon loans automatically from a linked bank or e-wallet account. It offers a faster, hassle-free way to pay and helps keep your account in good standing.

Auto-debit is available for Product Loan, Personal Loan, and Credit Line accounts.

Why use auto-debit?

Using auto-debit helps you by:

  • Avoiding late fees

Payments are scheduled and deducted on your due date. Just make sure your linked account has enough funds.

  • Ensuring accurate payment posting

Automatic deductions reduce errors and confusion in monthly payments.

  • Zero processing fees

There are no processing fees when you use auto-debit.

  • No hidden charges

You pay only the amount due on your account.

How auto-debit works for Credit Line

For Credit Line accounts, the minimum amount due is automatically deducted on your due date.

If you want to pay the full outstanding balance or an amount higher than the minimum, you will need to make a manual payment.

How to link a payment method for auto-debit

1. On the Home page, tap the Profile icon.

2. Select Payment methods.

3. Choose a bank or e-wallet account from the available options.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the linking process.

5. You will see a confirmation message once your account is successfully linked.

How to unlink a payment method

1. Go to Profile and tap Payment methods.

2. Select the linked bank or e-wallet account.

3. Tap Unlink account.

Unlinking removes the account from auto-debit, but your details remain securely saved for future use.

Auto-debit notifications

You will receive an SMS notification whenever an auto-debit payment is processed. This includes the amount deducted, the date and time, and a reference number. You may also receive reminders before your due date.

Important notes about insufficient funds

If your account has insufficient funds on the due date, Salmon may attempt to deduct the available balance from your linked account. The deducted amount will be applied to your outstanding balance, and any remaining amount will still need to be settled.

For GCash-linked accounts only:

If charging the full amount fails after multiple attempts due to insufficient balance, a partial payment may be deducted based on the available balance in your GCash account. Any remaining balance will still need to be settled.
