How can I fix my Salmon card if it is not working?

If your physical Salmon Access Card or virtual card is not working, check the steps below based on the issue you are experiencing in the app or during payment. 

If this message appears while activating your card, please contact customer service via in-app chat so we can help complete the activation. 

If your card has been stuck on this status for more than 24 hours, contact customer service via in-app chat so we can assist you. 

You may be asked to update your card again so we can make sure your information is accurate and up to date. This helps us keep your account secure and ensure that your records match your current details. 

  1. Tap on Update required in the Salmon app 

  2. Follow the on-screen steps to complete your verification 

  3. Once the update is finished, your card should work normally 

Your card may be declined if the wrong account type is selected at the terminal or if the merchant is not supported. When a payment terminal asks you to choose an account type, please select Savings. If you choose Checking, the payment may be declined.  

Please take note that transactions at casinos or online gambling apps are not supported, so these payments will always be declined.
