How can I request to have my card reissued?

You can have a card reissued whether you are using a virtual card, one-time virtual card, or a physical Salmon Access Card. This must be requested with customer service via in-app chat 

If you need a new virtual card, you can easily request one in the Salmon app. Follow these steps: 

1. Open the Salmon app 

2. On the Home page under Products, select Credit Line 

3. Under Cards, tap Get new card 

4. Tap Confirm and issue 

Your new virtual card will then be activated and ready to use. 

A one-time virtual card is a digital card you can use for a single purchase. After your transaction, it automatically becomes invalid and cannot be reactivated or reissued. 

 

This type of card can be most helpful when: 

  • You need to pay on unfamiliar or less-trusted websites 

  • You need to make a one-time purchase without sharing your main card details 

  • For bookings or reservations where you’ll be charged later 

  • For other transactions where you prefer added security 

  •  

Please remember: 

  • You may issue up to 3 one-time virtual card requests a day 

  • You can only use one of these cards at a time 

  • Your one-time virtual card will remain active until its expiration date if not used 

  • You can request a one-time virtual card even without an active physical or virtual card, as long as your Credit Line is active 

 

 

To request a one-time virtual card 

  1. Open the Salmon app 

     

  2. Go to Cards and tap Get new card 

     

  3. Select One-time virtual card 

     

  4. Tap Confirm and issue 

     

  5. Your card will be activated for your next purchase 

 

 

To reissue a one-time virtual card 

  1. Open the Salmon app 

     

  2. Under Cards, tap Get new card 

     

  3. Select One-time virtual card 

     

  4. Your new card will be ready. Tap Got it to continue. 

If you already have a physical Salmon Access Card and need a replacement, you may follow the steps below:

 

1. Block your existing physical card before requesting a new one.

 

2. Talk to customer service via in-app chat so we can help set up your request 

 

3. Once your request is confirmed, visit any of our partner locations and approach our in-store Salmon sales ambassador. They will help you complete the process to reissue your card. 

 

4. In the app, we will send you a PDF confirming the reissue of your physical card. Simply present this to the sales ambassador to claim your reissued card. 

 

Please take note: For now, we can only reissue a physical Salmon Access Card to existing physical Salmon Access Card customers. If you do not have a physical Salmon Access Card yet but have an active Credit Line, you may request a virtual card in the app instead.
