How does the Bring-a-Friend program work?
You can earn rewards by referring your friends to apply for a loan with Salmon. When your friend applies using your uniquely generated referral link or QR code and their loan is approved, you can receive a cash reward.
This works differently depending on the type of loan availed, whether it’s Product Loan or Credit Line.
You can earn ₱100 for every successful Product Loan referral. This applies only if you have an active Product Loan or availed a Product Loan in the past.
Your friend is a new Salmon customer with no previous or existing loans
Your friend is not a current or former Salmon employee
Your friend uses your referral link or QR code during their application
Your friend’s Product Loan is approved and their item is issued
Your Salmon account is in good standing (no overdue payments)
If your friend applies for a different loan type (in this case, Salmon Credit Line), your reward will not be issued.
Take note that you can earn a maximum of five (5) rewards (a total of ₱500) for Product Loan referrals.
How to send an invitation from the Salmon app
1. Open the Salmon app and log in
2. On the Home page, tap the Earn ₱100 icon in the upper-right corner. You can also go to Home, tap More, and tap Invite and Earn.
3. Tap Invite and earn, then select Send invitation
4. Tap Pick a product, then select Salmon Product Loan
5. Choose how you want to invite your friend:
Generate a referral link, or
Generate a referral QR code
6. Copy the referral link or save the QR code
7. Send the link or QR code to your friend so they can download the Salmon app and start their application
How your friend applies
1. Your friend taps the referral link you sent or scans your QR code
2. They are redirected to the Salmon Product Loan page
3. They tap Apply now and provide their personal details
4. They select a nearby partner store in the app
5. They visit their selected partner store
6. They choose the item they want to purchase. Then, they must complete the Salmon Product Loan application using the same mobile number they used when they opened the link.
If your friend’s Product Loan is approved and their item is issued, your referral will be considered successful and you will receive your reward
How rewards are paid
Your reward is usually credited within 8 days after your friend’s Salmon Product Loan is approved and their item is issued. In some cases, it may take up to 1 month to be fully processed.
To receive your rewards:
1. After each successful referral, your reward is credited to your rewards balance in the Salmon app
2. Open the Salmon app and go to the rewards section
3. Tap Claim reward, confirm your GCash details. Then, tap Transfer to send the reward to your GCash account.
Important: You need a GCash account number under your name to receive rewards. If you do not provide your GCash number when you join the program, you will not receive any rewards.
You can earn ₱100 for every successful Credit Line referral. Your friend must be a new Salmon customer and apply using your unique referral link or QR code. You must also have an active Credit Line and no overdue payments on any active Salmon loans to be eligible for this program.
You can earn a maximum of fifteen (15) rewards for Credit Line referrals. With a standard reward of ₱100 per successful referral, you could earn up to ₱1,500 in total. Some promotional campaigns may offer higher rewards.
How to refer a friend to Credit Line
There are two ways you can refer friends to Credit Line:
From the More button on the Home page
From the Earn ₱100 icon on the Home page
If this is your first time referring a friend
1. Log in to the Salmon app
2. On the Home page, tap More on the lower-right corner
3. Tap Invite and earn
4. Tap Pick a product
5. In Invite and earn, tap Send invitation
6. Select Credit Line as the product you want your friend to apply for
7. Save the generated referral QR code or copy the referral link
8. Send the QR code or link to your friend so they can download the Salmon app and start their application
If you want to refer another friend
1. Open the Salmon app
2. Go to Invite and earn
3. Tap Send invitation
4. Select Credit Line
5. Save the referral QR code or link and share it with your friend
Using the Earn ₱100 icon
1. Open the Salmon app
2. On the Home page, tap the Earn ₱100 icon on the upper-right corner
3. In Invite and earn, tap Pick a product
4. Tap Send invitation
5. Select Credit Line, then generate and share your referral QR code or link
How your friend applies
1. Your friend opens the link or scans the QR code you shared
2. They download the Salmon app and apply for a Credit Line in the app
3. Once their application is approved and the Credit Line is issued (and used, if required by the current promo rules), your reward is automatically credited to your Salmon account
How to claim your reward
1. Open the Salmon app. Tap Refer and earn.
2. Tap Claim reward
3. Enter your GCash details
4. Tap Transfer to send the reward to your GCash account
