What should I do if I receive a suspicious email, link, or message?

If you receive an email, link, or message that looks unusual or claims to be from Salmon, treat it with caution. Fraudsters may imitate Salmon to steal personal information or login details. If you clicked on something or shared information accidentally, do not panic. You can still secure your account by following these steps.Ā

What to do right awayĀ 

  • Stop interacting with the message or website. Do not reply or click on additional links.Ā 

  • Take screenshots of what you received, including the message, link, sender name, or website address.Ā 

  • ContactĀ Customer Service via in-app chatĀ as soon as possible so we can check your account and guide you.Ā 

  • Share helpful details with us, such as:Ā 

1. A screenshot of the suspicious email, link, or websiteĀ 

2. Where you saw it, such as email, SMS, social media, or a search resultĀ 

3. The name or link associated with the message

  • Do not share your one-time code or login details with anyone. If you already shared them, inform us immediately by talking to Customer Service via in-app chatĀ 

  • Check out the Salmon app for any unfamiliar activity and let us know if you see anything you did not authorize.Ā

  • Ask you to log in using unfamiliar or unofficial linksĀ 

  • Request your one-time codeĀ 

  • Ask for your full login informationĀ 

  • Ask you to enter details on unofficial pagesĀ 

  • Direct you to pay through personal accountsĀ
