Why am I receiving payment notifications from Salmon?

You may receive payment reminders or confirmations from Salmon whether you pay in the app or through our external payment partners. These notifications help you stay updated, avoid late fees, and know right away if your payment has been posted successfully.Ā

Notifications for auto-debit reminders and payment updates in the Salmon appĀ

If you enabled auto debit in the Salmon app, notifications will help you manage your payments more easily by:Ā

  • Reminding you ahead of your due date so you can prepare your funds and avoid late feesĀ

  • Letting you know once your payment has been deducted on the due dateĀ

  • Confirming that your repayment was posted correctlyĀ

  • Updating you if we fail to deduct from your account. Salmon will retry deducting up to three times on the due date and again if your account becomes overdueĀ

Ā

You will always receive an SMS or push notification showing the date and time of payment, the amount paid, and a reference number.Ā

Notifications for payments made outside the Salmon appĀ

If you pay through external partners such as e-wallets, bank apps, physical stores, or self-service kiosks, you will also receive a notification once the payment has been received. These payments are reflected in real time, along with the following details:Ā

  • The date and time the payment was postedĀ

  • The mode of payment you usedĀ

  • The exact amount paidĀ

Ā

Once your payment is posted, there is no need to send screenshots or proof of payment to our customer service agent.Ā Ā

Need to confirm if a certain payment was posted? You may check your transaction history in the Salmon app anytime.Ā Ā
